Usame b. Zeyd (r.a.)’den rivâyete göre, şöyle demiştir: Ben Nebi (s.a.v)’in kapısı önünde oturmakta idim. Rasûlullah (s.a.v.): “Neden geldiklerini biliyor musun?” diye sordu. Ben de: “Bilmiyorum” dedim. “Ben biliyorum onlara izin ver” buyurdu. İçeri girdiler; “Ey Allah’ın Rasûlü! Aile halkından hangisi sana daha sevimlidir? Sana sormaya geldik” dediler. Rasûlullah (s.a.v.): “Muhammed’in kızı Fatıma” buyurdu. Zeyd’tir” buyurdu. Ali ve Abbâs: “Sonra kim?” dediler. “Ali b. ebî Tâlib” buyurdu. Bunun üzerine Abbâs: “Ey Allah’ın Rasûlü! amcanı sonuncuları yaptın” dedi. Rasûlullah (s.a.v.): “Ali, hicrette seni geçmiştir” buyurdu. Tirmizî rivâyet etmiştir. Tirmizî: Bu hadis hasen sahihtir
