Sunan Ibn Majah — The Chapters on Expiation — Hadith No: 2115

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِإِبْرَارِ الْمُقْسِمِ ‏.‏

Translation

It was narrated that Bara' bin 'Azib said:'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to help fulfill the oath

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ، - هُوَ أَبُو كَاهِلٍ - قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ حَسْنَاءَ وَحَبَشِيٌّ آخِذٌ بِخِطَامِهَا ‏.‏

It was narrated that Qais bin ‘Aidh, who was Abu Kahil, said:“I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) delivering the sermon atop a beautiful she-camel, and an Ethiopian was holding onto its reins.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا سَمِعَ مِنْ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ حَدِيثًا لَمْ يَعْدُهُ وَلَمْ يُقَصِّرْ دُونَهُ ‏.‏

Abu Ja'far said:"Whenever Ibn 'Umar heard a Hadith from the Messanger of Allah (ﷺ), he would not do more than it said, and he would not do less

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِهِ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا»

Abu Hurairah narrated that:The Prophet said: "Whatever I have commanded you do it, and whatever I have forbidden you, refrain from it

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَوَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏ "‏ مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Abu Hurairah narrated that:The Prophet said: "Whoever obeys me, obeys Allah; and whoever disobeys me, disobeys Allah
