حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ تُوُفِّيَ، وَتَرَكَ عَلَيْهِ ثَلاَثِينَ وَسْقًا لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ، فَاسْتَنْظَرَهُ جَابِرٌ، فَأَبَى أَنْ يُنْظِرَهُ، فَكَلَّمَ جَابِرٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِيَشْفَعَ لَهُ إِلَيْهِ، فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَكَلَّمَ الْيَهُودِيَّ لِيَأْخُذَ ثَمَرَ نَخْلِهِ بِالَّذِي لَهُ فَأَبَى، فَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم النَّخْلَ، فَمَشَى فِيهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ لِجَابِرٍ ‏"‏ جُدَّ لَهُ فَأَوْفِ لَهُ الَّذِي لَهُ ‏"‏‏.‏ فَجَدَّهُ بَعْدَ مَا رَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَوْفَاهُ ثَلاَثِينَ وَسْقًا، وَفَضَلَتْ لَهُ سَبْعَةَ عَشَرَ وَسْقًا، فَجَاءَ جَابِرٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِيُخْبِرَهُ بِالَّذِي كَانَ، فَوَجَدَهُ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أَخْبَرَهُ بِالْفَضْلِ، فَقَالَ ‏"‏ أَخْبِرْ ذَلِكَ ابْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ‏"‏‏.‏ فَذَهَبَ جَابِرٌ إِلَى عُمَرَ، فَأَخْبَرَهُ‏.‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتُ حِينَ مَشَى فِيهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيُبَارَكَنَّ فِيهَا‏.‏

Translation

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:When my father died he owed a Jew thirty Awsuq (of dates). I requested him to give me respite for repaying but he refused. I requested Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) to intercede with the Jew. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went to the Jew and asked him to accept the fruits of my trees in place of the debt but the Jew refused. Allah's Apostle entered the garden of the date-palms, wandering among the trees and ordered me (saying), "Pluck (the fruits) and give him his due." So, I plucked the fruits for him after the departure of Allah's Apostle and gave his thirty Awsuq, and still had seventeen Awsuq extra for myself. Jabir said: I went to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) to inform of what had happened, but found him praying the `Asr prayer. After the prayer I told him about the extra fruits which remained. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) told me to inform (`Umar) Ibn Al-Khattab about it. When I went to `Umar and told him about it, `Umar said, "When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) walked in your garden, I was sure that Allah would definitely bless it

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ، قَالَ كُنْتُ أَتَّجِرُ فِي الصَّرْفِ، فَسَأَلْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ فَقَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏ وَحَدَّثَنِي الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، وَعَامِرُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ، أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا أَبَا الْمِنْهَالِ، يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ وَزَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ عَنِ الصَّرْفِ، فَقَالاَ كُنَّا تَاجِرَيْنِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الصَّرْفِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنْ كَانَ يَدًا بِيَدٍ فَلاَ بَأْسَ، وَإِنْ كَانَ نَسَاءً فَلاَ يَصْلُحُ ‏"‏‏.‏

Ebu'l-Minhal şöyle demiştir: Ben sarf işi ile uğraşırdım. Zeyd İbn Erkam'a bunu sordum. O, Nebi Sallallahu Aleyhi ve Sellem şöyle buyurdu dedi: (Diğer bir rivayet şöyledir) Ebu'l-Minhal şöyle demiştir: Bera İbn azib ve Zeyd İbn Erkam'a sarf işlemini sordum. İkisi şöyle dediler: Biz, Resulullah Sallallahu Aleyhi ve Sellem döneminde ticaretle uğraşırdık. Resulullah'a sarf işlemini sorduk, o şöyle buyurdu: "Peşin (elden ele) olursa bir sakınca yoktur. حَدَّثَنَا طَلْقُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرٌ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذْ أَقْبَلَتْ مِنَ الشَّأْمِ عِيرٌ، تَحْمِلُ طَعَامًا، فَالْتَفَتُوا إِلَيْهَا، حَتَّى مَا بَقِيَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلاَّ اثْنَا عَشَرَ رَجُلاً فَنَزَلَتْ ‏{‏وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا انْفَضُّوا إِلَيْهَا‏}‏

Narrated Jabir:While we were offering the prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ) a caravan carrying food came from Sham. The people looked towards the caravan (and went to it) and only twelve persons remained with the Prophet. So, the Divine Inspiration came; "But when they see some bargain or some amusement, they disperse headlong to it

Narrated Abu Al-Minhal:I used to practice money exchange, and I asked Zaid bin 'Arqam about it, and he narrated what the Prophet said in the following: Abu Al-Minhal said, "I asked Al-Bara' bin `Azib and Zaid bin Arqam about practicing money exchange. They replied, 'We were traders in the time of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and I asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about money exchange. He replied, 'If it is from hand to hand, there is no harm in it; otherwise it is not permissible

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ أَقْبَلَتْ عِيرٌ، وَنَحْنُ نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْجُمُعَةَ، فَانْفَضَّ النَّاسُ إِلاَّ اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ رَجُلاً، فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ ‏{‏وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا انْفَضُّوا إِلَيْهَا وَتَرَكُوكَ قَائِمًا ‏}‏

Narrated Jabir:A caravan arrived (at Medina) while we were offering the Jumua prayer with the Prophet. The people left out for the caravan, with the exception of twelve persons. Then this Verse was revealed: 'But when they see some bargain or some amusement, they disperse headlong to it and leave you standing
